From the N9 near
Middelburg Eastern Cape turn on to R56 direction Rosmead / Steynsburg.
After +/- 13km turn left onto gravel road direction Suurberg. After +/-
28km you pass a farm with a white wall at right hand side called
Hartebeesfontein. Just carry on for +/- 2km until you see a farm on the
left with silver roof. Turn left towards farm at yellow sign Beestekuil/Rooifontein.
Pass first farm at the right and go through gate one. Then after +/- 5km
pass through second gate on the left. After 1 km turn left at the
Beestekuil sign. Go through gate number three.
Or if you come from the R56 Steynsburg follow the road to Middelburg and turn right near Schoombee, in the direction of Maccasserfontein onto gravel road . Follow this road for about 18 km and then turn left again direction Middelburg. Follow this road for another few kilometres and turn then right at the yellow sign Beestekuil farm/Rooifontein. Then pass first farm at the right and go through gate one after 1km. After gate one follow road for another 5km and go through gate 2 at the left site of the road. After 1 km turn left at Beestekuil sign through gate 3 and you have arrived.
Or if you come from the R56 Steynsburg follow the road to Middelburg and turn right near Schoombee, in the direction of Maccasserfontein onto gravel road . services from Gauteng (Johannesburg), Port ELizabeth, Bloemfontein,
George, Cape Town and Durban stop in the following nearby towns from
where we can collect guests:
Middelburg (45 minutes drive to the farm)
Colesburg (70 minutes drive)
Hanover (100 minutes drive)
Graaff Reinet (100 minutes drive)
3) By air: Daily flights from Johannesburg or Cape Town to
Bloemfontein or Port Elizabeth from where a small plane can be
chartered ( only by prior arrangement) to be flown to one of two airstrips
45 minutes drive from the farm.
